The Houses- Part One
The Angular Houses
1st House: The Hour Marker/The Incarnation Point/The Helm
This is the house where time wise the sky meets the earth, this is sun rise (time wise). This house becomes associated with the following things:

The body’s vitality
The 1st house matures over time (we see this through chart progressions that show identity shifts)
The ascendant is the main layer of how and your sun sign is the why so they are very much tied to each other
*The first house is associated with Mars and Aries NOT because they are the SAME but because the 1st house is how/where we confront or face the world literally and figuratively and where you might find your biggest fights in life(this is more shown by the chart ruler positioning)
*Mercury has it’s Joy here so in this case the 1st house can sometimes represent siblings
4th House: The Subterraneous Place
Time wise we see this house representing midnight, a time where the sun or planets are hidden and so this house becomes associated with the following things:

Homework: Think about each area of life covered in the above houses as it relates to your life. Write down some running themes in these areas throughout your life. Now take a look at your actual chart and look at these houses. Are there any planets in these houses for you? If so, does what you now know about that planet in that house reflect some of the themes you wrote down? If not, take a look at the sign in that house based on what you know of the zodiac does the sign’s energy fit any of the themes you wrote down in the first part of this exercise?
